FC America Tommy Redding Selected To US Soccer National U14 Pool
Congratulations to Tommy Redding for being selected to attend the U.S. Soccer’s Under 14 Boy’s National Identification Camp. He is one of only 100 players invited. Tommy enjoyed a very successful season, being selected to the Florida ODP team, US Region III team, NikeID2 team, and now the US Soccer National under 14 team.
FC America’s U-16 Premier Black take the Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament Title
During the week of July 12-17, the rising U-16 FC America Macka Ballers team participated in the Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament and was able to compete against teams from outside the continental US.
The first game of the tournament was against Chivas Houston (TX). FCA were able to score in each half to win 2-0. Their next opponents were a local team from South Orlando and easily came out on top in a 7-1 victory.
The South Kirkby Colliery team from Great Britain were FCA’s next game. This was billed as a close game but the Macka Ballers ran out eventual 4-1 winners.
The final preliminary game was against Deportivo Barbosa Ocean Park Marlins from Puerto Rico. Deportivo provided a challenge, but were unable to get ahead of the Macka Ballers who won 3-2.
The Championship game was held Saturday morning and FCA took to the pitch against Florida Rush Nike. The game ended with a 6-3 win for the undefeated FCA Macka Ballers!
FC America Dominates at 3 v 3 National Championships!
The U11 Girls had 2 teams competing. "FEAR White" made the Round of 16 and played great all weekend. "FEAR Red" were crowned NATIONAL CHAMPIONS winning the championship match against the Titusville Lunachicks team. The FEAR Girls have now won the event 2 years in a row, while continuing their dominance on the field.
The U12 Boys had 3 teams competing. This is one of the strongest groups of U12 players in the country, and they proved it all weekend. "Krackerballz" played their first 3 v 3 Nationals as a new team, won 2 games, and got better as the tournament progressed. "Osceola Lions" improved to take THIRD PLACE overall, and showed they are one of the best teams in the country. The FC America "Sharks" proved to be the class of the Division, winning their third NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in 4 years.
The rising U12 Girls had 2 teams competing as well. The "Vipers" made it all the way to the Quarterfinals before losing to the eventual champions. They played outstanding all weekend and turned heads. The "Bad Girls" also made it all the way to the Quarterfinals.
The U14 Boys took the THIRD PLACE trophy after a weekend of soccer dominance. These boys just won the Florida State Championship at U13, and followed that up with an impressive showing at the 3 v 3 National Championships.
